From 2020 onwards, he continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where he studied under such musical luminaries as Olivier Latry, Michel Bouvard, Thomas Ospital, Fabien Waksman, Thibault Perrine and Thierry Escaich. At the same time, he studied piano with Roustem Saïtkoulov.
In 2021, he took part in the recording of Olivier Messiaen’s complete organ works at Toul Cathedral.
In October 2023, he was awarded the Grand Prix Jean-Louis Florentz, the Audience Prize, and the Prize for Contemporary Creation at the Angers Competition under the aegis of the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
In addition to the classical repertoire, Alexis is passionate about performing transcriptions of orchestral music, the works of Jean-Louis Florentz and the creation of new works. He performs regularly as a soloist, in chamber music or with orchestra, and takes part in various festivals such as “La Chaise Dieu”, “Toulouse les Orgues” and “Paris des Orgues”.
About Le Mai de l’Orgue
Since its creation in 1995, the vocation of this musical event has been to put the spotlight on young artists on the road to professionalism and to introduce them to the Cunault organ. It has enabled the public at the Prieurale de Cunault to discover and applaud over a hundred musicians, most of whom have gone on to become major players in the world of the organ and music. Since 2023, Thomas Pellerin, organ professor at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional d’Angers and co-artistic director of the Heures Musicales de Cunault, has been artistic director of the Mai de l’Orgue, succeeding Eric Lebrun, founder of the event and organ professor at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.
